FELIPE FIALLO is an eco-futuristic brand that wants to bring nature into the footwear industry. The mission is to transform the footwear industry and they accomplish it using totally sustainable materials, some of them have been created in the laboratory such as Crystal, obtained from a over-mineralization process of fish skin. The "We go Far" collection is a real call to action to demonstrate how boundaries of materiality and technologies can be pushed to create or reinvent traditional footwear through innovation and new materials employment. Future means protecting our planet and, if we create a shoe that can support our planet, then we are improving our planet. Felipe’s desire is to build a new consumer community focused on gen Z and millennials to create a new voice in the world.

The brand focuses on nude-colored shoes, designed to match the skin tone of the wearer. The shoe is no longer designed to match the outfit but to be combined with the skin tone of the person who is wearing it; becoming a seamless silhouette on the leg that instantly makes the legs longer creating a perfect continuum between leg and shoe, thanks to the wide nude-color palette available. Nude shoe becomes a chic fashion piece that enhance any wardrobe and adds value to every piece a woman owns, a real must have like the little black dress or the perfect pair of jeans that can never be missed in every women’s wardrobe.

From a young age I always knew I would be involved in fashion. I grew up knowing my grandfather was an established fashion designer, but I didn’t have the opportunity to have known him. My passion with shoes started with my mother. I would see her get dressed for work every morning and one thing she would put last was the shoes I knew at that moment she was ready to face the world ahead. The shoes gave her the confidence, the “armor for battle” so to speak. Suddenly she stood a little taller, looked confident and went to work. I moved to the United States at a very young age. My love for shoes always carried with me. I would always go shoe shopping with my mom, to her my opinion always mattered. I have always felt a need to express my creativity to the world. But how can we do differently in a world so congested with so much information? I found having a value in our brand was the key to bringing my ideas to fruition. I know as an immigrant in a different country opportunities don’t usually land easily. I also believe in the power of making a change. Our goal in life transcends just living day to day. I alway believed in making a difference in the world. That’s why ÉHONTÉ exists. To be the difference we want to see, because if not me then who?

VANDRELAAR Sustainability is the watchword at VANDRELAAR, from design to delivery. It was crucial for Victoria working closely with the factory where she produces her collection in Portugal. It was essential choosing every single component and material, making sure that each element had a minimal impact on the environment; for this reason main materials of the collection are: European linen, tanned Portuguese vegetable and metal-free leather, and a bio-based vegan leather derived from corn. Fashion system is a big polluter that generates a lot of waste and Victoria could never have accepted that her brand would become yet another brand that contributes to global pollution, hence the idea of engaging with sustainable practices starting from the design of products that they will have to be timeless and that they can be worn year after year
